The Art of the Still Life
This 3-day, in person photography workshop in Brattleboro, VT is all about play and creativity!
We will dive deep into the world of still-life photography, focusing on light, color, composition, texture and visual impact. We will also explore different styles of still-life art-- from dark, dramatic Rembrandt-inspired creations, to more modern and playful work.
This workshop will NOT focus on camera skills, so please have a basic understanding of your camera. While it is preferred that you have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, phones are also welcome.
The majority of this workshop will be spent in Clare's studio, taking photos. However, on Saturday we will be taking a morning field trip to Brattleboro's charming Farmer's Market and then downtown to a couple of Clare's favorite antique stores, so students will have a chance to search for additional items to add to their still lifes if they choose.
Because of the way the class is structured, this workshop is suitable for ALL skill levels.
*Please note this workshop is non-refundable unless your spot can be filled.
**Accommodations are not included but there are multiple places to stay in the area and we are happy to make suggestions.
